Rare Alocasia A to Z: Every Cultivar in Our Collector Guides

By , The Alocasia Company 2 min read

Four variegated Alocasia leaves side by side: albo, pink, aurea and mint variegation

We have written a complete collector guide for most of the Alocasia we have offered, from the species most growers start with to variegated forms that appear only a handful of times a year. This page gathers every one of those guides into a single alphabetical index.

Each entry gives the plant's name in correct botanical form, a one-line summary and a link to the full guide. Where a plant is currently available, you will also find a link straight to it. Names in single quotes are cultivar or trade names as used in the collector trade; many are not formally registered, so read them as the names collectors use rather than formal cultivar names. We add new guides regularly, so this index grows with the collection.

Understanding the variegation types

Most of the plants below are defined as much by their variegation as by their species. Albo, aurea and pink variegation behave very differently in cultivation, in stability and in how they should be grown. Before choosing between forms, it is worth reading our explainers on albo variegation, aurea variegation and pink variegation, or the complete guide to Alocasia variegation types, which sets out albo, aurea, pink, mint, splash and tri colour side by side.
