Alocasia Maharani Albo: Rare White Variegated Hybrid Houseplant
The Alocasia Maharani Albo is a rare, highly sought-after variegated form of the Maharani hybrid (A. reginula × A. melo), compact in habit, with textured silvery-green leaves carrying white variegation.
Why Collectors Prize This Hybrid
This rare variegated Alocasia combines compact, upright growth with leathery, rough-textured leaves, which makes it well suited to indoor cultivation. The hybrid genetics bring lighter veins, a softer leaf texture than A. melo, and the red abaxials inherited from the Black Velvet parent, alongside the white variegation.
What Distinguishes Maharani Albo
For serious hybrid collectors, this plant shows features that separate it from its A. melo parent: distinctly lighter venation rather than uniform colouration, a softer leaf texture with less embossing, lighter leaf colouration, and the red undersides retained from the A. reginula heritage. The white variegation sets it apart again from the standard hybrid.

Humidity & Water
The only rule! Don't over water, keep your substrate moist, not wet. Less is more in every watering. High humidity is essential; aim for 60% or higher. Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or regular misting
