The Alocasia Company exists because we couldn't find the plants we wanted anywhere else.

Not the rare ones. Not the genuinely hard-to-find cultivars that serious collectors spend months hunting. The common varieties were everywhere — but the plants worth growing, the ones with real collector appeal, were almost impossible to source in the UK without paying import prices or taking a chance on unknown sellers.

So we grew them ourselves.

Every plant at The Alocasia Company starts life as a corm, grown from our own mature Alocasia stock at our private UK nursery. Nothing is bought in to resell. Nothing is mass-produced. When a plant is listed on this site, it exists because we grew it, assessed it by hand, and decided it was worth your attention.

We are a small, specialist operation — and that is entirely by design. We do not stock common Alocasia. We do not chase volume. What we do is focus on a carefully chosen selection of rare, exotic, and collector-grade specimens that we know intimately because we grew every single one of them.

That means limited stock, limited drops, and a level of knowledge about each plant that a warehouse operation simply cannot offer. When you buy from The Alocasia Company, you are buying from the people who grew your plant from the ground up.
