ALOCASIA CORMS

An Alocasia corm is a dormant bulb-like structure containing everything needed to grow a rare plant from scratch — often the only way to access species unavailable as established plants. Every corm here has been grown and assessed at our UK nursery before listing.

About the collection

ALOCASIA CORMS

Alocasia corms are one of the most rewarding entry points into serious plant propagation. Dormant but alive, each corm carries the full genetic potential of the parent plant, ready to sprout when given the right conditions. For collectors, corms are a way to grow rare and expensive cultivars from the very beginning, watching a single node develop into a mature specimen over time. It is slow, deliberate, and satisfying in a way that buying a finished plant rarely is.

The corms in this collection are harvested from our own mother plants at our private UK nursery, or collected from a small number of growers we have worked with and trust. Either way, we know exactly what they came off. When a corm is listed with albo, aurea or pink variegated parentage, that parentage is confirmed from the plant it was taken from rather than assumed from a label.

Whether you are starting a rare cultivar from scratch, expanding a collection at a lower entry price, or trying the propagation process with our Corm Keeper system, you will find corms here with a known parent behind them. Growing from corm takes patience, but the results are worth it.
