The best plants sell first
The rare Alocasia market operates on a simple truth: the best plants sell before most collectors know they exist. At The Alocasia Company, we do not mass-release rare stock to a general audience. Every drop goes to our collector subscriber list first, often selling out before a single social media post goes live.
Our drop model exists because of how the plants reach us. Almost all are grown from corm at our private UK nursery, from our own mother plants or from trusted growers. For some of the rarest cultivars we import stem cut or tissue cultured plants that have already been grown on and acclimatised, then establish them further in our own substrate before they are listed. That takes as long as it takes. When a batch reaches the right stage of development, it gets released to the list. Quantities are always limited, often just a handful of plants, because that is the honest reality of growing rare specimens properly. We do not inflate stock levels, we do not restock on demand, and we do not compromise on quality to release more plants than we are confident in.
Joining the list costs nothing. What it gives you is the earliest possible access to albo variegated, aurea variegated, pink variegated, and green-on-green variegated Alocasia, plus collector-grade hybrids and rare species that rarely surface anywhere in the UK market.
