Watsoniana is one of the most architecturally impressive Alocasia in cultivation. Its deep blue-green leaves carry pronounced silvery primary veins that fan dramatically from a central midrib, producing a near-sculptural effect. The aurea variegation overlays golden-yellow sectoring across this base, with sectors that range from soft butter through to deep gold. Aurea variegation is more stable than chimeric albo or pink expression but still varies leaf to leaf and intensifies with optimal light.
