Alocasia Micholitziana Albo (Frydek Green Velvet): Rare White Variegated Houseplant
The perfect evolution of the well known Frydek. The Alocasia Micholitziana Albo (also known as Frydek or Green Velvet Albo) is a rare white-variegated form that keeps the signature velvety texture while displaying dramatic white variegation sections against deep green foliage.
Why Collectors Prize Frydek Albo's Striking Contrast
This rare white-variegated Alocasia cultivar shows the same velvety texture as the standard Frydek while adding white variegation that creates marked contrast. The clean white sections against the deep green base, combined with the characteristic white veins, create a rewarding visual display that dedicated growers prize for its dramatic appearance and collector appeal.
A Statement Velvet Alocasia
Suited to serious Alocasia collectors, the bold white areas contrast against the deep green foliage and characteristic white veins while the plant keeps the same reliable growing habits as the standard Frydek. This collector's variegated cultivar offers the familiar appeal of the Green Velvet with the addition of dramatic white variegation.
All plants are grown in Fluval Stratum, our preferred early-stage medium for corms and baby Alocasia, held in our 3D printed Corm Keeper stand. Once fully rooted and at juvenile size we repot into our own pon mix, blended from components in our Soil Ninja range.
