A Highly Sought-After Variegation
The Dragon Scale Marble Mint expresses sectoral mint and cream variegation across its signature embossed leaves, giving each plant a marbled appearance no two specimens share. The waxy, deeply textured surface, reminiscent of dragon hide, only amplifies the contrast between the deep green base and the pale mint sectors. As with all chimeric variegated Alocasia, expression can shift between leaves, which is part of the appeal for collectors who enjoy watching new growth unfurl.
Care and Establishment
Dragon Scale is at its best in bright, indirect light with consistent humidity above 60%. Newly arrived juveniles benefit from a stable environment and a gentle balanced feed programme during active growth. Our Corm size can be established for reliable propagation, while the Juvenile and Mature sizes arrive ready to grow on.
All plants are grown in Fluval Stratum, our preferred early-stage medium for corms and baby Alocasia, held in our 3D printed Corm Keeper stand. Once fully rooted and at juvenile size we repot into our own pon mix, blended from components in our Soil Ninja range.
