Plant Description
Alocasia Baginda Dragon Scale Aurea: Rare Golden Scale-Textured Houseplant
Looking for scale-like foliage with golden variegation? The Alocasia Baginda Dragon Scale Aurea carries textured leaves marked with golden-yellow variegation against a deep green ground, and each leaf breaks differently, so no two specimens are alike.
Why Plant Collectors Prize Dragon Scale Aurea
This rare variegated cultivar pairs the textured foliage of the standard Dragon Scale with golden variegation. The luminous yellow sections fall differently on every leaf, and the contrast between the golden patches and the deep green base adds a further dimension to the familiar scale-like surface.
A Distinct Statement for Rare Plant Collections
Suited to collectors after something genuinely uncommon, this variegated form holds the same manageable 2 to 3 feet mature size while adding golden variegation. The Dragon Scale Aurea's textured foliage and shifting patterns mean each leaf reads differently from the last.
All plants are grown in Fluval Stratum, our preferred early-stage medium for corms and baby Alocasia, held in our 3D printed Corm Keeper stand. Once fully rooted and at juvenile size we repot into our own pon mix, blended from components in our Soil Ninja range.
