Care
Light. Bright, indirect light. Variegated tissue carries less chlorophyll and scorches more easily than green, so filter strong sun.
Water and humidity. Keep the substrate evenly moist, never wet. Aim for 60% humidity or higher.
Feeding. A balanced feed programme through spring and summer; ease off in winter.
Dormancy. An Alocasia that drops its leaves in the cold is usually resting, not dead. Keep it warm and barely moist and it will push again.

Looking for Alocasia Pink Dragon 'Lime Aurea'? This rare cultivar takes one of the most recognisable plants in the collector hobby and makes it genuinely surprising again, the iconic Pink Dragon form, with its distinctive rose-pink stems and petioles, now paired with vivid lime-green aurea variegation that shifts the entire character of the plant.
Most collectors know Pink Dragon well. The blush-pink petioles are its signature, warm, elegant, and immediately distinctive against green foliage. 'Lime Aurea' reframes that familiar combination entirely. The lime-hued aurea variegation sits across the deep green leaf surface with a brightness that feels almost electric, and the contrast between that vivid yellow-green foliage and the soft pink stems below it is genuinely unlike anything else in the Alocasia genus. It works because the warmth of the pink and the vibrancy of the lime aurea are complementary rather than competing. The result is cohesive and immediately recognisable as something rare. As with all aurea expressions, the intensity of the colouration is directly responsive to light. Bright indirect light is where 'Lime Aurea' performs at its best, the variegation becoming more vivid and saturated as light levels increase.
Care follows the same reliable Pink Dragon framework: consistent warmth and humidity above 60%. Aurea variegation is generally stable between leaves, so the lime character should remain consistent as the plant matures and pushes new growth. A gentle balanced feed programme through the growing season will support vigorous, well-coloured foliage.
