Care
Light. Bright, indirect light. Variegated tissue carries less chlorophyll and scorches more easily than green, so filter strong sun.
Water and humidity. Keep the substrate evenly moist, never wet. Aim for 60% humidity or higher.
Feeding. A balanced feed programme through spring and summer; ease off in winter.
Dormancy. An Alocasia that drops its leaves in the cold is usually resting, not dead. Keep it warm and barely moist and it will push again.
Delivery and arrival
Plants are dispatched Monday to Thursday only, so they never sit in a depot over a weekend. Every order is sent with a heat pack and packed plastic-free.

Looking for the Alocasia Cuprea Pink? This is the most coveted pigmented expression of Alocasia cuprea, the Bornean rarity prized for its coppery, metallic foliage, here lifted with rich pink colouration that turns each leaf into a piece of living jewellery.
Why Collectors Hunt the Pink Form
Cuprea itself is one of the most recognisable Alocasia in cultivation, with thick, waxy, iridescent leaves that catch the light like polished metal, hence its nickname, the 'Mirror Plant'. The Pink expression layers deep pink pigment over the coppery base, producing a colour palette unlike anything else in the genus. Pigment intensity strengthens with optimal light, feed and maturity, and is more stable than chimeric variegation, a major appeal for serious collectors.
Care and Establishment
Cuprea prefers bright, indirect light, enough to drive pigment expression without scorching the foliage. Humidity comfortably above 60% and a chunky, well-draining aroid mix are essential. A gentle balanced feed programme during active growth supports leaf production and pink intensity.
All plants are grown in Fluval Stratum, our preferred early-stage medium for corms and baby Alocasia, held in our 3D printed Corm Keeper stand. Once fully rooted and at juvenile size we repot into our own pon mix, blended from components in our Soil Ninja range.
