We cap every raffall at 200 tickets. That's it. Real odds, real chance — not a lottery with thousands of entries.

Description
Looking for Lava Rock? This totally inert volcanic aggregate is one of the most versatile and effective components you can add to a rare Alocasia substrate mix. Formed by rapidly cooling molten rock, its uniquely porous structure makes it a long-standing favourite among serious collectors and horticulturalists alike.
For Alocasia growers, lava rock earns its place by delivering exceptional drainage and aeration without breaking down over time. Its open structure creates vital air pockets throughout the mix, preventing the stagnant, waterlogged conditions that are a primary cause of root rot in tropical aroids. Unlike softer aggregates that crumble under pressure, Soil Ninja's grade is notably durable — maintaining structure through multiple repotting cycles.
Beyond drainage, lava rock's highly porous surface is outstanding at housing beneficial bacteria and fungi, helping to establish a healthy soil microbiome that supports strong root development. Its neutral pH makes it compatible with the wide range of components used in custom aroid mixes, and its lightweight composition means it adds structure without unnecessary weight to larger pots.
Key Features:
Whether you're building a custom Alocasia mix from scratch, refreshing a repot, or setting up a propagation environment with our Corm Keeper, lava rock is a reliable and long-lasting addition to your growing toolkit.
