Plant Description
Alocasia Black Satun Pink Bone
Looking for the Alocasia Black Satun Pink Bone? This is a striking dark-leaved cultivar lifted with characteristic pink bone variegation, pink expression running along the midrib and primary veins to produce a skeleton-like effect against deep, almost-black foliage. A true conversation piece for any collector's shelf.
Skeleton Pink on Black Foliage
The Black Satun base carries deep, glossy near-black leaves. The 'Pink Bone' variegation expresses along the midrib and lateral veins, producing a bold, structural pattern that reads almost like a leaf skeleton picked out in blush and rose. Pink venation is more stable than full sectoral pink variegation, but expression still strengthens with optimal light and feed and varies between leaves.
Care and Establishment
Provide bright, indirect light, the single biggest driver of strong pink expression, along with humidity comfortably above 60% and a chunky, well-draining aroid mix. A gentle balanced feed programme during active growth supports leaf production and pigment intensity.
All plants are grown in Fluval Stratum, our preferred early-stage medium for corms and baby Alocasia, held in our 3D printed Corm Keeper stand. Once fully rooted and at juvenile size we repot into our own pon mix, blended from components in our Soil Ninja range.
