Plant spotlight

The double-veined outer leaf is what makes it a Ninja.

All four Alocasia 'Ninja' Pink Variegated plants in a pink Corm Keeper rack, each with a different leaf pattern

Ninja is defined by its double-veined outer leaf. It is what makes it so distinctive, and it is the first thing to look for in a true Ninja.

The plant

Alocasia 'Ninja' carries deep dark green leaves with a sculptural shape. This is the pink variegated form, with pink, cream and white laid over that dark green for marked contrast. The variegation is individual to each plant, so no two are alike.

The four

Each of the four carries its variegation differently, from heavy cream and white to darker green with pink and cream flecks. You choose on pattern. Variegation can change as a plant grows, so what you see here is how each one looks now.

What comes with each plant

Every plant ships free and comes with a free pink Corm Keeper and Crown set, worth £20.

Larger plants, for reference

The lead photo at the top of this page and the two below are older, larger plants from the nursery. They are not the plants in this drop, which are juvenile plants in small pots. They are here to show how the pattern can develop as a plant gets bigger.
