PLANT SPOTLIGHT
Alocasia Cuprea Latte Variegated
Three plants. That's all we have.
These have been grown in-house and represent one of the most visually extraordinary Alocasia we've offered to date. The Cuprea Latte Variegated is a rare variegated form of Alocasia cuprea — a Borneo native already celebrated in serious collections for its thick, waxy, metallic foliage that earns it the name Mirror Plant. In this variegated form, that already-exceptional leaf becomes something else entirely.
Rare variegated form of Alocasia cuprea — Borneo native
The signature coppery metallic surface is overlaid with latte colouration and dream-like variegation patterns — shifting through deep copper, ruby red, cream, and warm brown depending on the light. Leaves reach up to 60 cm in length. When backlit or caught in direct sun, they appear to glow — an iridescent luminescence that no photograph fully captures.
This is not a plant for the casual collector. It demands the environment and attention that a specimen of this calibre deserves — and rewards that effort with foliage unlike anything else in the genus.
This drop features three plants representing genuine botanical rarity from one of Borneo's most prized Alocasia species.
