LECHUZA GROWING SYSTEM

Lechuza is one of the most respected names in self watering planter design, a German-engineered growing system built around the principle that consistent, controlled moisture delivery produces healthier plants with less intervention. The sub-irrigation reservoir draws water upward through the substrate as the plant requires it, eliminating the cycle of overwatering and underwatering that causes the majority of Alocasia problems in home growing environments. For collectors managing multiple specimens, or anyone who wants to reduce the daily demands of their care routine without compromising on plant health, the Lechuza system is one of the most practical upgrades available.

The range stocked here covers the complete Lechuza ecosystem: planters in a range of sizes suited to juvenile through to mature Alocasia, Lechuza PON substrate engineered specifically for use with the sub-irrigation system, and accessories including scoops and watering cans designed to complement the setup. Every component is designed to work together, which means the results you get from a properly set up Lechuza system are consistently better than mixing and matching alternatives.

Lechuza planters work particularly well with established Alocasia specimens where root systems are developed enough to draw from a reservoir effectively. For propagation and corm growing we recommend our own Corm Keeper and corm pot range, which are designed specifically for the early stages of Alocasia development. Used together, the two systems cover every stage of the growing cycle from corm to mature collector specimen.
