JUVENILE ALOCASIA PLANTS

Juvenile Alocasia sit at a fascinating point in the growth cycle. Past the vulnerability of the corm stage, establishing a root system and producing their first true leaves, but not yet at the size or the price of a mature specimen. For collectors who want to grow a plant on themselves, watch the variegation develop across successive leaves and build a connection with a plant from an early stage, juveniles offer something that buying a mature specimen cannot.

Every juvenile in this collection has been grown on here from corm, raised either from our own mother plants or from corms collected from growers we trust, and established in our own substrates before listing. Variegation is confirmed and present at the time of listing. We do not list juveniles speculatively on parentage alone. What you see is what you will receive, assessed and selected by us before it leaves the nursery.

Juveniles are also one of the most accessible entry points into rare Alocasia collecting. The same cultivars that command significant prices at maturity are available here at an earlier stage, giving serious collectors the chance to add genuinely rare specimens while growing them on to their full potential themselves.
